Now that you have found what you are looking for, go over it very carefully to be sure it is safe for the bird. You can save some cash, just make sure the cheap bird cage is made with quality materials. Cheap does not mean unsafe. Cheap means you got the cage at a bargain price. Inspect the bars of the cage and make sure there is no damage to them.
Be sure there are no bars that will allow the bird to get something caught in them. Make sure the doors of the cheap bird cage operate as they should. Always make sure that the door on this cage stays latched when closed. A pet bird will figure out a way to get the door open and want to explore the realm outside of the cage.
Think hard if this is a suitable cage for the type and size bird you have bought. The right cage will lend itself to having a healthy and happy bird. A cage that is to small will be like a prison, so there must be enough room for your new pet bird to flap its wings. There should also be adequate room in this cheap cage to entertain your new pet. IF you went with a small type of pet bird, make sure the litte birdie can not get its head through the bars.
Always clean your bird cage if you purchased it from a garage or yard sale. A little bit of warm water with soap will do the trick. Be sure to get any old bird droppings off of the things your bird will be perching itself on.
Make sure nothing is wet when you introduce your bird to its new acomadations. Your new pet will be your companion for a very long time. It may also cost you some money to. You have to save on the things you can when you can. Search for the perfect cage for your new pet bird. When you finally find it, be sure to scrub it and clean it very good.
Finding a cheap bird cage may leave enough money in the budget to purchase a few toys or treats for your new friend.
