I am looking to get a parrot either an unwanted one or rear one from an egg does anyone know where from?
I am looking to get a parrot either an unwanted one or rear one from an egg does anyone know where from? I would like to avoid the scammers you see on the net nowdays there is so many and they all seem to target me!! I have a large cage and playstand i am at home all day and night and have lots of love and time to give. I have hand reared from an egg before with my lovebirds its not that different.

Best of luck you will get one because you’ve got the the main ingredient time! like they say the man that made time made plenty of it.You have plenty of it and some experience the rest you will pick up.The African Grey is an expensive bird but don’t be fooled it’s a very hardy bird and great fun. about the wild parakeet!! getting into my bird cage!!!?
Ok you know how I told you guys that a liberated parakeet got into the cage yesterday.(I guess I shouldn’t use wild parakeet since the US is not a keet’s natural habitiat Australia is). I took the keets that I had before out of the cage and put them on their playstand. I took the cage with the newcomer outside and left the cage open. I came back a fewhours later to find that the stubborn keet was still sitting in the cage. She just doesn’t want to leave does she!!! I guess she loves the idea of a a free meal every day. Should I try again to urg the keet to go back outside…should I ask one of my friends if they want a parakeet??? Or should I keep the keet and go buy a larger cage for the three??
Well IMO, If its still in the cage then its obvious its used to being kept in one, so why would u want to realease something that could possily be someones pet that has escaped?
Consider getting a used cage from someone and house it in there, advertise the keet as found and see if anyone comes forward?
Or see if anyone would be willing to take the little mite if you cant look after it with the commitments you have already.
Truthfully if it was me i wouldnt let it go without finding out if someone has lost one, as she must be used to a cage to just be sitting in there without a second thought of getting away, she could even be run down and needs a few days to recover,
Do what you think is best for it.
