Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 + Expansion vs. Roller Coaster Tycoon Platinum?
Is there any difference of the Retail version of RCT3 with both expansion packs and the platinum version of the game?
I once had the retail version and had no problems
Then I bought the gold version without problems
Now, I have platinum…and the nightcrawler update isn’t working. It runs fine, but at night, it runs VERY slow. I hear there is an update that fixes this, but it’s only for retail and gold.
Last thing…are there any updates in platinum or are they all Incorporated into the disk?
As far as I know, the platinum version is the same as buying the game and the expansion packs. I think it includes all of the updates, but I could be wrong about that.
I also used to experience slowdown at night on my old computer, even with just the game itself, without expansions. I never found a remedy, I just turned off night mode, so the game didn’t slow down. Hope this helps. Good luck!
