parrot fish successful breeding?
my parrot fish pair laid eggs. Its been day three now. I know parrot fish will lay eggs but they will not hatch but, instead of the eggs turning whiteand forming fungus, they are turning into somewhat of a lightish yellow color, and the eggs have grown. Is this a sign that these eggs may be fertile?
yes they most likely are…most unfertile eggs will either decompose or get eaten by another fish (if there are others in the tank)…i would keep an eye on them if they get even bigger you should be able to see movement inside of the eggs and they will then hatch soon…if there is no movement you got your hopes up for nothing…as i did many of times with mine…good luck and i hope they hatch baby’s are so cute lol

i spoke with many breeders and almost all pairs babies are pulled on day one
They are not in the natural environment, people are peeking into the box, they probably don’t have the right food.
Also people don’t want to loose babies so they don’t let the birds try to learn and feed so they never learn.
