Is my nose job swelling normal?

I recently had a nose job done a little over 2 weeks ago. silicone on bridge and fat taken out from the tip and put in some cartilage.
At first i had normal swelling post op and after splint removal. and the swelling went down remarkably fast. then on the 9th day i suddenly swelled up and instead of hard swolleness my nose became very squishy. Its not pus or infected, but water built up around my bridge and also the tip got swollen.
when i push down on the bridge it feels like a balloon and the bottom of my nose is going to pop.
the doctor stuck a syringe and took out some of the “water” from the bridge and has been giving me antibiotics regularly for the past week.
last year i had to get the silicone removed after 3 weeks of being perfectly great. because i got an infection.
i’m extra paranoid because of last year. and curious
Has this squishy swelling happened to anyone? and
is it going to happen to me regularly unless i take the silicone out or until i fully heal?

YUCKY! I would definitely go see another doctor. That should not be happening. Stay on the antibiotics but go and see someone for a second opinion.

The intragastric balloon is designed to provide short–term weight loss therapy. The silicone balloon is placed endoscopically (through the mouth and oesophagus under sedation) and filled with liquid so it partially fills the stomach and creates a feeling of fullness. The maximum time a balloon can be left in place is 6 months, after which it must be removed.

There are two main indications for using an Intragastric Balloon:

* Pre–surgery for weight loss in severely obese patients to reduce surgical risk.
* Weight loss in obese patients who have significant health risks related to their obesity and who have failed to achieve and maintain weight loss with a supervised weight–control programme. The patient should have a BMI above 35.

Like other weight loss surgeries,the balloon is a tool and works best when you use it properly, following a low calorie diet. Surgeons usually prescribe medication to reduce your stomach acid production whilst the balloon is in place.

Most of the people do not experience any complications, but you should be aware of :

* Intestinal obstruction by the balloon (which could cause death) when a partially deflated balloon passes into the small bowel. If this occurs, surgical or endoscopic removal would be required
* Bleeding or perforation could occur as a result of injury during the balloon insertion or removal, requiring surgical correction.
* Gastric discomfort; nausea and vomiting are common for the first few days following balloon placement but rarely continue in the longer term unless the balloon is causing a blockage. A feeling of heaviness in the abdomen, abdominal or back pain, gastro–oesophageal reflux or indigestion have also been reported.

Risk Assessment for this experiment?

this is the experiment i had to do but i dnt know what the hazards are except from than been careful not to break the capillary tube when adding the syringe. So this is the experiment:
Draw a 2.5cm3 sugar solution and 2.5 cm3 yeast suspension into a syringe. Gently rotate the syringe to mix the contents. Use a silicone tubing to attach a length of capillary tubing to the nozzle of the syringe. Make sure that each joint is water tight and bring the end of the capillary tubing and the nozzle into close contact. Allow fermentation mixture to equilibrate for few minutes. Make an ink mark at the top of the capillary tube and adjust the plunger of the syringe until the meniscus is at the same level as the mark . record the distanced moved by the meniscus.

All glass items could be broken causing cuts.
Fermentation could have been excessive, overflowing the vessel and could have spilled onto the floor making it sticky.
The test for water tightness of the tubing could have been in error also causing the solution to spill.
You or someone near the experiment could suffer an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients.
The equipment may not have been sterile from last use so there could be the potential for some kind of reaction.
