How do I stop my chicken from pecking my other chickens comb?
I have three chickens and one of them keeps pecking at the comb of another one how do I stop this??!
take him out and put him a separate pen when he does this and he’ll learn not to do it…DUH!!!! its kind of obvious!!!

These types of feeds are full of fat and it has low protein content which is very essential in raising a healthy chicken. Chicken scratch is composed of whole grains and corn. It is best if you can mix it with other types of feeds to add nutrients.
There is also a type of feed called “Greens”. These feed refers to green leaves, lettuce leaves, weeds from your garden and many more. These types of feeds are usually mixed with other feeds. Chickens can get a lot of nutrients from greens but they cannot rely on these types of feeds only. It is better if you mixed it to other feeds.
Soybeans are also a type of feed that you can give to your chickens. Soybeans are full of proteins compared to the commercial type which has low protein content. The combination of commercial feeds and soybeans is highly recommended by other raisers because it is a well balanced diet for your chickens.
Another type of chicken feed is Pellets. This type of feeds is made up of mashed ingredients that are combined and turned into pellets. The best thing about this commercial feed is the nutrients of different kinds of chicken feeds are available here.

Why do the commercial chicken houses want chickens not to be exposed to sun?
I was watching the documentary “Food, Inc.” and one of the chicken house ladies had her contract terminated because she declined to upgrade her farm to one without sun light. What would be the reason for having a chicken go through its whole life without sun? Why does it benefit the chicken industry? I would think that the Vitamin D would be good for them, but maybe it damages the skin or something?
